Before the Sun goes to bed,
The sky raises its voice against the harsh weather,
It is raining in summer…
Thin & light,
All patches of dark clouds come together as a battalion
An army of cumulus cloud…
They pour on dusty roads & leaves
They run along the warm concrete walls
Setting peace and settling disarray…
Knocking rain drops on the window pane,
And the sound of rain shower,
Invites me to balcony to smell the wet mud…
Facing to the compassionate clouds,
I stand under eave,
Stretching my hands to the Rain…
Tiny water drops hit my skin
And halts here,
Forming a constellation of sparkling water beads!
After weeks of dust & heat,
Plants embrace the rain as it cleanses off the grime,
Regains the moisture, up for another sunbathe…
I see lightning striking down,
Letting a part of earth to be in the spotlight,
Here comes the Thunderbolt; God’s own firework!
My thirst quenched, I get back to mattress,
The trances of Twilight rain still linger around me,
Finally, it rained in summer…
P.S: Inspired by last night’s rain :)
